Friends of Traditional Dance (FoTD) is a nonprofit organization in Fort Collins, Colorado, dedicated to the preservation and promotion of old-time and traditional dance forms through community dances. FoTD sponsors contra dances, balls, and a variety of other dance events, featuring live music in a smoke-free and alcohol-free environment.

Description

Friends of Traditional Dance presents The Wild Goose Masquerade Ball! This is our 66th “Wild” ball—a long standing and wonderful tradition. The Mostly Strauss Orchestra (Denver Pop Orchestra) will play waltzes and polkas by Strauss, Shostakovich as well as down-to-earth 20th century dances by Mancini, Leroy Anderson and Duke Ellington. We are introducing a new theme this fall...BEAUTY AND THE BEAST! Think of this as you are putting together your costumes. Costume Awards!! Doors open at 7:30pm, the Grand March is at 8, dancing until 11:30. Attire is formal/semi-formal/ethinic/theme.Refreshments!
